The Menorlue Term 4, 2010 programme will be advertised on the website from September 14 and in The Courier on Tuesday 14 September.
The Menorlue office will be open Monday - Friday during term time, 9am - 3pm.
From the beginning of 2010, Adult Education classes offered by Menorlue, Ashburton College, will be self-financing. This means we have had to make some changes to the ways in which our system has previously operated.
Prospective students are asked to take note of the ‘small print’ which follows.

Finding the Menorlue Office
We are located in the Menorlue building, ( driveway side of old villa, on the right hand side of the Community Swimming Pool), Ashburton College Campus, 27 Walnut Avenue, Ashburton.

When enrolling please ensure that you diary start dates, make a note of requirements and are aware of your venue location. NO confirmations will be sent. If you do not hear from us, please assume you are enrolled in the class of your choice. An Ashburton College map is able to be downloaded from our website www.menorlue.co.nz
If you haven’t paid in full you are not enrolled
Ashburton College reserves the right to decline acceptance of a student into a course.
Adult students
Classes are specifically organised for Adult students. An ‘adult student’ is defined as being anyone who is over 16 years of age and has completed their compulsory schooling, i.e. anyone over 16 years of age who has either left school or is in year 12 or beyond at school. People who are not enrolled in courses are not permitted to attend classes (this includes participants’ children).
Receipts
Receipts will only be posted out if a stamped address envelope is enclosed or alternatively they can be picked up (by arrangement) from the Menorlue office.
Class commencement
Classes will commence once the specified number of students have enrolled and paid.
The decision as to whether there are sufficient enrolments for a course to commence will be made 7 days prior to the advertised start date.
Enrol early to ensure that your class does start.
Discounts
There will be no discounts on advertised charges for courses.
Refund Policy
If a course is cancelled by Menorlue, fees will be refunded in full.
NO refunds will be given once the decision to commence a course has been made. The decision to commence a course will be made 7 days prior to the advertised start date.
Finding Your Classroom
Please take careful note of the advertising – all venues are indicated. We do not send out confirmations/maps for classes so it is up to you to find your way to your classroom. If you are unsure:-
1) Please contact the office (leave a msg on the answerphone if no one is in attendance)
2) Pick up an Ashburton College map from the door of Menorlue
3) Download an Ashburton College map from the Menorlue website www.menorlue.co.nz
4) Ashburton College has map boards at every entrance to the College
Notification/confirmation
We do not confirm postal enrolments or remind students of class start dates and times by mail. If you do not hear from us please turn up at the time,date and venue advertised. List for classes requiring materials will be emailed, faxed or posted approximately one week before the class starts.
We will contact you if:-
1. there is any change to the date or time of class
2. the class you wish to enrol in is full
3. the class is to be cancelled due to lack of enrolments
For this purpose it is important that we have your correct contact details in particular a Daytime phone number. We DO respond to all emails – so no response means we haven’t received it!
Safety Issues
All care is taken to ensure our students’ safety but due diligence is required by individuals. When working with equipment it is important that students adhere to basic safety procedures and follow instructions. In our health and fitness classes we request that any health issues are disclosed before enrolling, i.e. pregnancy, history of a bad back or neck, any major or recent surgery. For your own safety it is essential that we are informed of any condition that could cause concern. It is also important that students work to their own ability.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in school buildings or within the school grounds.
2010 Term Dates
Term 1 Monday February 8th to Thursday April 1
Term 2 Monday April 19th to Friday July 2nd
Term 3 Monday July 19th to Friday September 24th
Term 4 Monday October 11th to Friday December 10th
There are NO classes during school holidays or public holidays i.e. Anzac Day, Easter, Queens Birthday, Labour Day, Canterbury Anniversary Day.
